BRIGHTON, ON - As Sportsman drivers converge on the Brighton Speedway this Friday, September 25th,for the $1,500.00 to win Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup, 16 of the best have also been invited to take part in the 15 lap DirtTrackDigest All-Star race. This All-Star race will be a separate event held on the Friday night and pays a completely separate purse for the this event. The All-Star race offers these select driver a chance to compete for $1,000.00 win and $100.00 to start. If one of these lucky drivers can pick up a double win on Friday they will go home with $2,500.00 in prize money.
To qualify for this event drivers had to do one of the following;
• Win either the Lucas Oil Sportsman East or West Series
• Win a selected Lucas Oil Sportsman Race
• Win a track Championship at a selected area tracks
"We look forward to all these great young and aspiring drivers coming to Brighton Speedway to show off their talents. We had a great field in 2008 and look forward to the same in 2009." says track promoter Mark Rinaldi.

These events are all part of Brighton Speedways Applefest weekend that will take Place Friday September 25th where Sportsman will be the headline show at 7:30pm and Saturday when the 358 Dirt Modifieds take the main stage at 7pm.
