Dibbits Excavating Adds More Cash for the DIRT Sportsman Division this Friday at Brighton Speedway

Friday Night will now feature a Dash for Cash thanks to Dibbits Excavating of Brighton. The format of the race will be an elimination style dash and only cars that are not currently guaranteed starters for the Lucas Oil Sportsman Challenge Cup feature will be eligible to participate. The top twelve cars from the non-guaranteed heats will start the 12 lap elimination dash after drawing for starting position. After 4 laps of green flag racing a caution will be pulled and positions 9 through 12 will be removed. The race will restart with 8 cars on lap 5 where they will race through to lap 8 when a second caution will be drawn. Under this caution positions 5-8 will be removed leaving just 4 spots for the final 4 lap dash.

“We decided on this format to include non-guaranteed cars to encourage more drives to make the trip with only 6 starting spots open for the main event” states promoter Mark Rinaldi. The Dash Pay out will be as follows; 1st - $200.00, 2nd - $100.00, 3rd - $75.00, 4th - $50.00, 5th - $25.00, 6th - $25.00, 7th - $25.00.

All of this will prelude Saturday September 22nd when Imagefactor.ca presents the 2007 running of the 358 Dirt Modified Shootout featuring the ever popular Lucas Oil CLASH for CASH for 358 Modifieds and Hino Trucks of Kingston and Ottawa present the Ontario Dirt Late Models.
