First Six Set for Lucas Oil Clash for Cash |

BRIGHTON, ON - Fans can begin to make their picks as the first six guaranteed starters are set for the Lucas Oil Clash for Cash presented by DirtTrackDigest.com on Saturday September 23rd at the Brighton Speedway.
As part of the annual CARQUEST 358 Dirt Modified Applefest Shootout presented by ImageFactor.ca this special showdown race will be comprised of the top drivers in the Lucas Oil Canadian Series and the Lucas Oil 358 Shootout Series. The Lucas Oil Clash for Cash is a meeting of the two series on a neutral site that will see 10 drivers in a 15 lap Clash for $5000.00.
The Lucas Oil Canadian Series which saw races at; Autodrome Granby, Autodrome Drummond, Autodrome Edelweiss of Quebec as well as Brockville Speedway and Cornwall Speedway in Eastern Ontario wrapped up on July 29th with David Hebert, Kayle Robidoux and Yan Bussire all securing spots in the Clash.
The Lucas Oil 358 Shootout Series was contested at Western New York tracks Ransomville Speedway and Genesee Speedway as well as the Southwestern Ontario facilities of Merrittville Speedway, Humberstone Speedway and Ohsweken Speedway. The finale on August 11th at Ohsweken is where Scott Wood, Rick Richner and Pete Bicknell locked up their top three point standing positions and did their part in ensuring they will go home with a bigger pay check just by showing up at Brighton on Saturday September 23rd.
The remaining four positions will be made up from the 40 lap main event qualifying heat winners. If one of these six drivers is not able to attend then the next driver in their respective point standings in attendance will fill the position.
"It is great that Lucas Oil has stepped up to ensure that some of the best 358 drivers in Quebec, Ontario and upstate New York will be at Brighton Speedway" said promoter Mark Rinaldi. "Sponsors such as CARQUEST, ImageFactor.ca, Lucas Oil, DirtTrackDigest.com and MIX 97 are what make this event happen and we couldn't do it with out them" continued Rinaldi.
The CARQUEST 358 Dirt Modified Applefest Shootout presented by ImageFactor.ca and the Lucas Oil “Clash for Cash” will be run on Saturday September 23rd at 7:00pm. A rain date has been added to the schedule and is set for the following day, Sunday September 24th at 4:00pm.
